Investment Banking Analyst - Tech M&A

About the role

We are partnering with a leading international investment bank to hire an Analyst for its Technology M&A team in Frankfurt. The role offers exposure to high‑profile sell‑side, buy‑side and capital‑raising transactions across software, IT services, fintech and other technology‑enabled businesses throughout Europe.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain detailed financial models, including valuation, merger and LBO analyses.
• Support the execution of live M&A transactions from initial marketing through to completion.
• Prepare client presentations, pitch books, information memoranda and other transaction materials.
• Conduct company, industry and market research across a range of technology subsectors.
• Analyse financial statements and business performance metrics.
• Assist with due‑diligence processes and coordinate with clients, investors and external advisors.
• Work closely with senior bankers on transaction execution and business‑development initiatives.
• Contribute to the origination of new opportunities within the technology sector.

Required profile

• 1–3 years of experience in Investment Banking, Corporate Finance, Transaction Services or Private Equity.
• Strong academic record.
• Fluency in German and English.
• Excellent analytical, quantitative and communication skills.
• Highly motivated and able to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
