Investment Banking Associate

About the role

We are partnering with a leading global investment bank to hire an Associate for its Munich office. You will work closely with senior bankers and corporate clients on high‑profile M&A, capital‑raising and strategic advisory transactions across Europe and beyond.

Key responsibilities

• Support execution of M&A, strategic advisory and capital‑markets deals.
• Build and maintain detailed financial models, valuation analyses and transaction materials.
• Prepare client presentations, pitch books and marketing documents.
• Conduct industry, company and market research for live transactions and business development.
• Coordinate due‑diligence processes and manage interactions with clients, investors, legal advisors and other stakeholders.
• Assist in preparing transaction documentation and execution workstreams.
• Mentor junior team members, including analysts and interns.

Required profile

• 3–6 years of experience in investment banking, corporate finance, transaction advisory or a related field.
• Strong M&A transaction experience and proven financial‑modeling capabilities.
• Advanced knowledge of valuation methodologies such as DCF, comparable companies and precedent transactions.
• Excellent analytical, quantitative and presentation skills.
• Fluency in German and English.
• Strong academic record from a leading university.
