IT Help Desk Engineer / IT Support Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an IT Help Desk Engineer to join our Düsseldorf office. You will provide first and second line support to users across the EU, maintain desktop and mobile environments, and contribute to IT projects while delivering high‑quality customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver 1st and 2nd line technical support for EU users.
• Act as the primary contact for the German office.
• Support desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers and conferencing systems.
• Configure and maintain iPhones, iPads and Microsoft Office applications.
• Assist with IT project deployments and system implementations.
• Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, DHCP and DNS tasks.
• Maintain ServiceDesk tickets and produce detailed issue reports.
• Troubleshoot networking and infrastructure problems.
• Collaborate with overseas IT teams and stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with company processes and procedures.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a fast‑paced IT help‑desk or desktop‑support environment, or a university degree in IT.
• Strong troubleshooting and customer‑service skills.
• Business‑level English and conversational German (CEFR B1+).
• Positive, proactive and team‑oriented attitude.
• Japanese language skills are a plus.

• Microsoft 365 and Windows environments.
• Active Directory, Group Policy, DHCP and DNS.
• ServiceNow or similar ticketing systems.
• ITIL best practices.
• iPhone and iPad configuration.
• Microsoft Office suite.
• Networking fundamentals.

What we offer

• One‑year fixed‑term contract with potential conversion to permanent.
• Salary range €40‑48 K per year.
• Full‑time onsite role (9:00‑17:30, Monday‑Friday).
