IT Operations & Cybersecurity Specialist (Remote)

About the role

We are looking for a reliable and curious technician to join our distributed team and keep client operations running smoothly while deepening your security expertise. The role is fully remote and supports small‑ and mid‑size organisations that rely on secure IT infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Provision and manage users, groups, and licences in Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace.
• Onboard Windows and macOS laptops into an MDM solution (Intune, Jamf, or similar) and coordinate remote device handovers.
• Triage first‑line support tickets, perform password resets, handle access requests and escalate complex issues.
• Run weekly maintenance checks covering patch status, backup logs and security alerts.
• Document fixes and create runbooks to ensure repeatable processes.
• Contribute ~20% of time to security projects such as CVE research, laptop hardening scripts, incident‑response playbooks and ISO 27001 checklist development.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of hands‑on experience in IT operations, helpdesk or systems administration.
• Proven administration skills in Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace.
• Comfortable working with MDM platforms (Intune, Jamf, etc.).
• Self‑directed, able to work asynchronously across time zones.
• Strong written and spoken English; German is a plus.
