IT Operations Working Student (On‑site, Hamburg)

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Working Student to join our IT Operations team in Hamburg. You will be the first line of technical support for employees, handling hardware, software and A/V equipment while gaining hands‑on experience in a fast‑moving start‑up environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first‑responder support for all employee IT issues, including Wi‑Fi, access management, software configuration and printer troubleshooting.
• Manage the full lifecycle of macOS and Windows laptops, from provisioning and deployment to tracking and recovery using MDM tools.
• Administer user accounts, permissions and security settings across SaaS applications such as Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Slack and Jira.
• Assist with basic security tasks, including MFA setup, monitoring alerts and ensuring device compliance.
• Create and maintain internal documentation in Confluence and develop simple automations to streamline repetitive tasks.
• Support A/V and meeting‑room technology, troubleshooting Zoom, Google Meet and Microsoft Teams setups.

Required profile

• Currently enrolled in a Computer Science, IT, Engineering or related degree program.
• Strong communication skills in English and a customer‑focused attitude.
• Comfortable working with users of varying technical expertise.
• Proactive, entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to manage multiple small projects.
• Excellent organizational skills and a willingness to learn new systems quickly.
