IT Security Engineer – DevOps & Cybersecurity

About the role

As an IT Security Engineer you will protect our payment platform by integrating security into DevOps processes and responding to emerging cyber threats. You will work closely with development and operations teams to ensure a resilient, compliant infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Strengthen and secure infrastructure supporting DevOps practices.
• Conduct regular security assessments, penetration tests and audits.
• Monitor systems and networks for suspicious activity and vulnerabilities.
• Investigate and respond to security incidents, including breaches and malware.
• Manage endpoint protection, firewalls and intrusion detection systems.
• Identify and remediate vulnerabilities in Java/Spring applications.
• Collaborate with developers to enforce secure configurations and deployments.
• Support compliance with GDPR, ISO 27001 and DORA.

Required profile

• Several years of experience as an IT security specialist or similar role.
• Strong understanding of security tools and technologies.
• Hands‑on experience with incident response and security analysis.
• Proficiency in Linux server environments and scripting/automation.
• Proactive, hands‑on mindset.
