IT Security Engineer (f/m/d)

About the role

We are looking for an IT Security Engineer who will protect our payment platform and support DevOps processes. You will work closely with development and operations teams to identify vulnerabilities, respond to incidents, and ensure compliance with regulations such as GDPR and ISO 27001.

Key responsibilities

• Strengthen and secure infrastructure supporting DevOps practices.
• Perform regular security assessments, penetration testing, and audits.
• Monitor systems and networks for suspicious activity and potential vulnerabilities.
• Investigate and respond to security incidents, including breaches and malware outbreaks.
• Manage endpoint protection, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems.
• Identify and remediate vulnerabilities in Java/Spring‑based applications.
• Collaborate with development teams to enable secure configurations and deployments.
• Support compliance with GDPR, ISO 27001 and related standards.

Required profile

• Several years of experience as an IT Security Specialist or similar role.
• Proactive mindset with a hands‑on approach.
• Experience in regulated environments (e.g., finance, healthcare) is a plus.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH or CompTIA Security+ are desirable.

Required skills

• Penetration testing tools and methodologies.
• SIEM, IDS/IPS and firewall technologies.
• Network and application security principles.
• Incident response and security analysis.
• Linux server environments.
• Scripting/automation with Python, Bash and Ansible.
• Knowledge of Java and/or JavaScript development and deployment processes.
