IT Support & Operations Specialist

About the role

As an IT Support & Operations Specialist based in Frankfurt, you will ensure the smooth operation of BBVA Germany’s local IT infrastructure. You will be the first‑line contact for workplace incidents, manage local vendors and inventory, and collaborate closely with the Head Office IT teams in Madrid.

Key responsibilities

• Provide 1st line support to the local branch, coordinating with Head Office IT teams.
• Handle internal customer incidents, ensuring high service quality and rapid resolution.
• Liaise with external suppliers and local vendors to resolve technical issues.
• Update and maintain the technical part of the Business Continuity Plan.
• Manage and track local IT inventory.
• Implement solutions and improve existing internal systems and processes.
• Support the modern Microsoft environment (Windows 11, MS Office) and Google Workspace.
• Maintain teleworking systems, remote access solutions, and third‑party applications.
• Troubleshoot basic networking, connectivity, telephony, mobile device management, and hardware.
• Provide support for printers and other office peripherals.

Required profile

• Minimum two years of experience in an IT support role, preferably in financial services.
• Technical qualification in computer systems or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong knowledge of networking, desktop software, hardware, and client/server operating systems.
• Excellent English language skills (working language).
