Junior Compliance Analyst – Frankfurt

About the role

The Compliance Department at VanEck offers a hands‑on opportunity for an early‑career professional to support regulatory monitoring, policy maintenance and training within a fast‑paced asset‑management environment.

Key responsibilities

• Trade surveillance monitoring, including reviewing personal trading alerts, documenting rationale and maintaining surveillance records.
• Monitoring adherence to the personal account dealing (PAD) policy and Code of Ethics requirements.
• Supporting periodic testing and control activities related to conflicts of interest, market abuse, insider dealing and policy violations.
• Assisting in designing, preparing and delivering Code of Ethics and conduct‑related training materials, and supporting new‑hire compliance orientation.
• Maintaining training logs and ensuring timely completion of mandatory training.
• Updating and maintaining compliance policies and procedures, and collaborating with other departments to promote regulatory awareness.
• Monitoring regulatory developments affecting investment funds and distribution activities, and supporting implementation of related compliance requirements.
• Participating in compliance assessments for new products and business initiatives.
• Supporting ad‑hoc compliance projects as assigned.

Required profile

• 0–2 years of experience in the financial services industry (or a strong interest in the sector).
• Good knowledge of financial instruments.
• Self‑motivated with strong communication and organisational abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple simultaneous tasks.
• Proficiency in English; German is a significant plus.
