Junior Corporate Accountant – Berlin

About the role

MEININGER Hotels is looking for a Junior Corporate Accountant to join its finance team at the Berlin headquarters. You will support month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end closings, work on fixed‑asset accounting and handle inter‑company reconciliations across the group.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare month, quarter and year‑end closings and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Calculate accruals (personnel, reinstatement obligations, etc.) and manage IFRS‑related topics such as IFRS 16.
• Maintain the fixed‑asset module for ~50 entities, including additions, disposals, depreciation and register updates.
• Compile project costs for construction, furniture and service equipment and integrate them into the fixed‑asset system.
• Perform inter‑company and general‑ledger reconciliations.

Required profile

• Educational degree in Finance or Accounting.
• 1‑2 years of professional experience in an international finance environment.
• Experience with shared‑service or general‑ledger accounting is a plus.
• Knowledge of IFRS (especially IFRS 16) and local GAAP is advantageous.
• Business‑level proficiency in English; additional languages are a plus.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel skills.
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365).
• Familiarity with planning and budgeting tools such as LucaNet and Fairmas.
• Understanding of IFRS standards and local GAAP.
