Junior Data Quality Analyst

About the role

We are looking for a Junior Data Quality Analyst to join Alpine Business Consulting’s remote team. You will work alongside senior consultants on a large‑scale project for a leading German industrial manufacturer, ensuring the accuracy of financial and operational data that feeds into planning and analytics tools.

Key responsibilities

• Review financial and operational datasets to spot duplicates, missing values, and formatting errors.
• Compare data across legacy systems to identify broken reporting logic.
• Assist senior consultants in mapping legacy data into modern EPM solutions.
• Perform routine validation checks to maintain data integrity over time.
• Document data flows and create simple training guides for the client’s team.
• Support testing of new configurations to catch errors before release.
• Participate in internal meetings to report data trends and recurring issues.

Required profile

• Completed degree in finance, business, data science or a related field (or equivalent internship experience).
• Strong attention to detail and a logical, problem‑solving mindset.
• Ability to work independently and stay productive in a 100 % remote environment.
• Clear and concise writing skills for technical documentation.

Required skills

• Excel (lookups, pivot tables, data comparison).
