Junior Software Engineer

About the role

Join a leading German association dedicated to workplace safety and health as a Junior Software Engineer. This position is part of a practical semester for engineering students, based at the Sankt Augustin location, and offers the chance to contribute to important research and IT projects.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and program complex software architectures.
• Support the execution of research projects related to occupational safety and health.
• Participate in cross‑departmental projects and interdisciplinary teams.
• Contribute to coordination, monitoring, and control within the IT infrastructure.

Required profile

• Strong general or subject‑specific university entrance qualification.
• Good grades in Mathematics, preferably also in Computer Science and Social Sciences.
• Commitment, eagerness to learn, and enthusiasm for conceptualisation and design.
• Good English language skills.
• Ability to integrate into an interdisciplinary team with an open, communicative approach.
