Laboratory Technician / Operator BTA/CTA – Protein Analytics

About the role

We are looking for a Laboratory Technician / Operator (BTA/CTA) to join our protein analytics team in Frankfurt. You will support our precision‑fermentation platform by performing routine analytical tests on fermentation‑derived proteins and delivering reliable data to our scientists.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine HPLC‑UV analyses following established SOPs.
• Conduct protein assays such as Bradford and support physicochemical measurements (e.g., particle size determination).
• Prepare samples for proteomics workflows, including protein extraction, digestion and purification.
• Document and evaluate results in line with internal quality guidelines.
• Operate, clean, calibrate and maintain analytical instruments.
• Collaborate closely with scientists on ongoing projects.

Required profile

• Completed training as a BTA, CTA or comparable qualification.
• Initial practical laboratory experience (training, internship or entry‑level work).
• Careful, structured and reliable working style with scientific curiosity.
• English proficiency at B1 level or higher; German is a plus.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of HPLC or other chromatographic methods.
• Good documentation skills.
