Labour Relations Specialist – EMEA (Hamburg)

About the role

The Labour Relations Specialist will support TikTok’s EMEA operations by ensuring compliance with regional works council regulations and fostering constructive dialogue between employee representative bodies and the business. This role combines strategic planning, day‑to‑day coordination, and advisory responsibilities to create a fair and transparent work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with global HR, legal, and business stakeholders to design and implement works council strategies and communication plans.
• Build trusted relationships with regional works councils, lead negotiations on topics such as IT updates, performance management, and company policies, and prepare related documentation.
• Advise business leaders and HR Business Partners on co‑determination, labour law issues, and develop HR compliance training as needed.
• Coordinate cross‑functional HR projects across EMEA, acting as the regional liaison for global initiatives.
• Handle operational tasks including staff measures, works council queries, training coordination, data requests, and continuous improvement of internal processes.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 + years of experience in Human Resources.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, mediation, and strategic writing abilities.
• Strong conflict‑management skills and adaptability to evolving business needs.
• Proactive attitude with a desire for personal and professional growth.
