Lead Finance Business Partner R&I & V&I

About the role

AstraZeneca Germany is seeking a Lead Finance Business Partner to support the Research & Innovation (R&I) and Value & Innovation (V&I) units. Reporting directly to the Country CFO, you will drive budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to enable strategic decisions and growth.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the R&I and V&I budgeting and planning process, including RBU, MTP and annual budget.
• Act as a trusted finance advisor to the Business Units and the Country CFO.
• Own the monthly close for R&I and V&I, ensuring high‑quality reporting and forecast accuracy.
• Prepare in‑depth financial analysis of budgets, forecasts and actual results for senior management review.
• Develop presentations and analyses for senior management country visits.
• Coordinate with Pricing & Market Access and AIMs on financial planning processes.
• Provide strategic oversight of therapeutic areas, proposing resource reallocations and identifying growth opportunities.
• Participate in S&OP meetings to ensure forecast accuracy and drive process efficiency, leveraging AI where possible.

Required profile

• Relevant university degree completed.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in finance, budgeting, forecasting or related areas.
