Lead Forward Deployed Engineer

About the role

Taktile empowers financial institutions to become AI‑native organizations and is rapidly expanding its enterprise customer base. We are seeking a Lead Forward Deployed Engineer who is passionate about AI, stays current with the latest developments, and has deep experience with Python, SQL and REST APIs.

Key responsibilities

• Lead complex AI‑driven deployments in production, owning technical delivery from scoping to stable operation.
• Design solution architectures, develop decision logic and deploy generative AI agents for financial‑service customers.
• Scope work, sequence delivery, remove blockers and balance scope, speed and quality to meet project timelines.
• Partner with product management to translate customer needs into product insights and roadmap influence.
• Develop reusable resources, best practices and tools to scale the forward‑deployed engineering function.
• Coach and mentor junior engineers, supporting their growth.

Required profile

• 6+ years of engineering or technical deployment experience, preferably customer‑facing.
• Strong background in Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, Physics or Data Science.
• Proven ability to break down complex problems and make quick, informed decisions under pressure.
• Excellent relationship‑building skills with technical and business stakeholders at all levels.
• Willingness to work hybrid from Berlin or London office at least three days a week.

Required skills

• Production‑grade Python development.
• Advanced SQL querying.
• Design and integration of REST APIs.
• Experience with major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Building AI applications and applying statistical/machine‑learning models.
