Lead System Engineer – Defence & Space

About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead System Engineer to join Airbus Defence and Space in Immenstaad, leading technical teams across multiple sites on defence projects.

Key responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary engineering teams across multiple sites.
• Oversee system breakdown into subsystems and components.
• Create and maintain project schedules and execute plans.
• Make critical technical and strategic decisions.
• Monitor quality and progress, applying agile methodologies.
• Motivate team members and ensure compliance with defence industry standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Systems Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of systems engineering experience, preferably in defence or automotive.
• Proven expertise in system breakdown, requirements engineering and testing.
• Experience leading technical teams and managing multi‑site projects.
• Strong decision‑making, problem‑solving and organizational skills.
