Lecturer or Senior Lecturer – Teaching & Research in Law

About the role

UNSW Law & Justice is seeking a Lecturer (Level B) or Senior Lecturer (Level C) to join the School of Private and Commercial Law. The successful candidate will contribute to teaching, research and engagement across the LLB, JD and LLM programmes, focusing on private law areas such as equity, trusts, land, property, contracts and torts.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver undergraduate and postgraduate law courses.
• Develop and maintain an active individual research programme.
• Participate in the School’s and Faculty’s research culture and scholarly activities.
• Supervise student projects and theses.
• Engage with external stakeholders and contribute to policy‑oriented work.

Required profile

• PhD in Law or a closely related discipline (or equivalent).
• Strong record of high‑quality research publications.
• Demonstrated ability to teach law subjects at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
• Capacity to contribute to the School’s strategic goals and community engagement.

Required skills

• Research publication and scholarly writing.
• Curriculum design and delivery for LLB, JD and LLM programmes.
