Legal Associate – Corporate & Commercial Law

About the role

The Legal Associate will support the Director Legal in day‑to‑day legal activities, focusing on contract management, risk mitigation and regulatory compliance for KYB Europe GmbH in Aschheim.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and amend a variety of corporate and commercial agreements, including non‑disclosure agreements, service contracts, and sale‑and‑purchase agreements.
• Conduct legal research on statutes, case law and regulations, especially in commercial, civil and corporate law.
• Monitor changes in local and international legislation to ensure internal policies remain compliant.
• Assist in preparing board materials, corporate resolutions and minutes, and maintain statutory registers such as the Commercial Register.
• Identify legal risks, gather evidence, organise case files and support dispute and litigation management.
• Maintain legal databases, document repositories and entity‑management systems.

Required profile

• Law degree (1st or 2nd State Examination) obtained in Germany or an equivalent qualification from another European country.
• Initial practical experience gained through legal clerkship placements, internships or work as a research associate.
• Knowledge of commercial and civil law with some exposure to related areas.
• Analytical thinking, strong communication, solution‑oriented mindset and high attention to detail.
• Ability to handle multiple tight deadlines and work independently.
• Fluent business‑level English; German language skills are a plus.
