Legal Counsel – Digital & Tech Focus

About the role

We are seeking a Legal Counsel to join mobile.de’s Berlin office. The role supports business, product and technology teams, providing legal guidance on commercial contracts, product compliance, IT law and digital regulation while enabling rapid product development.

Key responsibilities

• Advise internal stakeholders on a wide range of legal matters, including e‑commerce, data protection and unfair competition.
• Draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements such as platform terms, cooperation agreements and supplier contracts.
• Translate complex regulatory requirements into clear, actionable guidance for product and engineering teams.
• Support M&A due diligence and post‑merger integration activities as needed.
• Collaborate with compliance and risk teams to ensure product compliance and legal risk mitigation.

Required profile

• Fully qualified German lawyer (Volljurist:in) with 3–4 years of post‑qualification experience in a law firm or in‑house, preferably in a digital environment.
• Hands‑on experience in IT law, data protection, e‑commerce or commercial contracts.
• Strong product mindset and ability to work in a fast‑moving tech setting.
• Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken.

Required skills

• Proficiency with legal tech tools and AI‑assisted legal platforms.
• Experience using large language models for legal prompting.
