Legal Counsel – EMEA (Berlin)

About the role

Foxit is looking for a Legal Counsel to join its EMEA legal team in Berlin. The role provides practical, business‑oriented legal support across Europe, the Middle East and Africa, working closely with commercial, product, engineering, privacy, security, HR and regional leadership teams.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate technology and SaaS‑related commercial agreements such as MSAs, SLAs, DPAs, NDAs, partner and reseller contracts.
• Provide legal guidance to sales, customer success, procurement and regional business teams to enable efficient commercial execution.
• Identify, assess and mitigate contractual and regulatory risks, offering clear recommendations on risk positions and negotiation strategies.
• Advise on data protection and privacy matters, including GDPR compliance and related EMEA privacy requirements.
• Support privacy, security and compliance requests, working with internal stakeholders and external counsel as needed.
• Contribute to the development and improvement of legal templates, processes and compliance practices across the region.

Required profile

• Strong experience in technology, SaaS and commercial contracting within a multinational environment.
• Proven ability to advise on complex legal matters and manage regulatory compliance.
• Excellent communication skills and the capacity to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of additional EMEA languages is a plus.
• Based in Berlin and able to work in a hybrid model.
