Legal Counsel – GDPR, Contracts & Corporate Law

About the role

Kayzen is seeking a Legal Counsel to own and professionalise its legal function as the company scales globally. You will work closely with the Finance & Legal Lead and act as a trusted business partner to senior leadership across finance, operations, and commercial teams.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Kayzen's GDPR compliance programme, advising on data processing agreements, privacy notices, consent frameworks and cross‑border transfers.
• Provide transaction advice, draft and negotiate contracts such as MSAs, SaaS agreements, partnership agreements and NDAs.
• Manage the company’s cap table, oversee corporate governance, subsidiary management, shareholder resolutions and notarial filings under German law.
• Support fundraising and investor relations from a legal and corporate perspective.
• Expand and scale the overall compliance framework to match the company’s growth.

Required profile

• Sharp, pragmatic and commercially minded legal professional.
• Experience handling GDPR and data‑privacy matters across multiple jurisdictions.
• Proven track record in contract negotiation and corporate law, preferably in a technology or AdTech environment.
• Ability to work quickly, apply sound commercial judgment and partner with senior leaders.
