Legal Counsel

About the role

Xsolla is seeking an experienced Legal Counsel to support its global video‑game commerce platform. You will create and review legal documents for new business strategies and ensure compliance with evolving payment and digital‑innovation regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Advise business units on legal implications of initiatives, payment strategies, and new product ideas.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of laws affecting payment services, cryptocurrencies, blockchain, NFTs, DeFi, PSD2, EMI/PI licensing, AML/CFT and MiCA.
• Identify, summarize, and assess the impact of new and proposed regulations on business decisions.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and other documentation for new business concepts.
• Collaborate closely with business and technology teams to align legal advice with product and service goals.
• Manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
• Provide additional legal services and advice as needed.

Required profile

• Advanced English proficiency (C1 or higher).
• Minimum 5 years of legal experience, preferably in corporate, financial services, or payment‑services law.
• Familiarity with modern collaboration tools and ability to adapt quickly to new platforms.
