Legal Counsel – Renewable Energy

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Legal Counsel to support our rapidly expanding renewable energy business in Germany. The role involves providing comprehensive legal advice across solar, onshore wind, battery storage and related infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements such as EPC, land lease, cooperation and service contracts.
• Advise on permitting, planning and environmental matters specific to the German market.
• Provide guidance on energy regulation, infrastructure development and corporate transactions, including project financing and due diligence.
• Support land rights, easements and property issues related to project sites.
• Assist with dispute management, claims and administrative proceedings as needed.
• Monitor regulatory developments affecting the renewable energy sector in Germany.

Required profile

• Qualified German lawyer (Volljurist) or equivalent legal qualification.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in private practice, industry or a relevant regulatory environment.
• Strong background in commercial contracts and energy or infrastructure law.
• Exposure to renewable energy, construction, infrastructure or project development.
• Fluent in German and English.

Required skills

• Expertise in German planning, permitting and energy regulation frameworks (advantageous).
