Legal Counsel – Renewable Energy Projects

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Legal Counsel to support a leading international renewable energy developer in Germany. You will work closely with the Development team, providing legal expertise across the full lifecycle of utility‑scale wind, solar PV, BESS and hybrid energy projects.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate commercial contracts such as land agreements, EPC, service and cooperation agreements.
• Advise project teams on permitting, planning and renewable energy legislation.
• Support acquisitions, disposals and conduct legal due diligence.
• Assist with project finance transactions and corporate matters.
• Prepare joint‑venture agreements, shareholder resolutions and other corporate documentation.
• Provide commercially focused legal advice to internal stakeholders throughout project development.

Required profile

• Fully qualified German lawyer (2nd State Examination) with at least 5 years of legal experience.
• Strong knowledge of project development, permitting and corporate law.
• Fluent in German and English.
• Experience in renewable energy, infrastructure or a leading commercial law firm.
• Interest in long‑term career development within a growing international business.
