Local Compliance & Ethics Officer, Germany

About the role

The Local Compliance & Ethics Officer, Germany will serve as a business partner and compliance advisor to Teva Germany’s management, covering commercial functions and the manufacturing site in Ulm. The role is responsible for ensuring that the company’s compliance program operates effectively and aligns with global standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, drive and manage all aspects of Teva Germany’s compliance program, focusing on Code of Conduct, anti‑corruption, industry codes, healthcare compliance and corporate compliance (privacy, conflicts of interest, trade sanctions).
• Maintain independence and objectivity to assess potential risks faced by the organization.
• Partner with Legal, Medical Affairs, HR, Global Internal Audit, Regulatory, Sales, Training, Marketing and other stakeholders to provide pragmatic guidance.
• Implement and update compliance policies, procedures and processes.
• Perform activity risk‑assessments and develop a compliance monitoring plan.
• Report monitoring results to local management and ensure remediation actions.
• Support the German Compliance Committee and facilitate regular meetings for risk assessment.
• Assist global compliance initiatives and investigations.
• Conduct required training and champion Teva’s values, principles and Code of Conduct.
• Review, approve and monitor activities involving healthcare professionals, organizations, patient groups and government officials.
• Manage third‑party due diligence in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Participate as an active member of the German management team and the European Compliance & Ethics team.

Required profile

• Independent worker with well‑developed business acumen.
• Extensive knowledge of German compliance and ethics regulations.
• Ability to provide business‑oriented, pragmatic guidance.
• Strong collaboration and teamwork skills across multiple functions.
• Effective communication of risk assessments and remediation plans to senior management.
