Logistics Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Logistics Manager to lead the end‑to‑end logistics function at a major production site in Germany. This senior leadership position combines strategic planning with hands‑on operational oversight, driving efficiency across warehousing, transportation, and inventory management.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop the site’s logistics, warehouse and transportation teams, fostering a high‑performance culture.
• Oversee inbound and outbound logistics to ensure uninterrupted material flow and on‑time customer deliveries.
• Manage warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, inventory control and dispatch.
• Coordinate transportation planning, carrier performance and third‑party logistics partners.
• Optimise finished‑goods inventory, improve accuracy and reduce excess stock.
• Drive Lean and continuous‑improvement initiatives across logistics processes.
• Collaborate with Production, Procurement, Supply Chain, Planning, Sales, Customer Service and Finance to ensure seamless operations.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in logistics within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of material flow, warehouse operations and transportation management.
• Track record of implementing process optimisation and continuous‑improvement projects.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
