Maintenance Technician – Cell Production (Berlin)

About the role

As a Maintenance Technician in the Cell department at Tesla's Gigafactory Berlin, you will ensure the continuous operation of complex production machinery. You will work on both scheduled maintenance and urgent fault resolution to keep the high‑volume battery cell line running efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and resolve faults on automated production equipment during operation and downtime.
• Perform timely repair, maintenance, servicing, and modification of all Cell‑department machines.
• Support the implementation of preventive‑maintenance programs for specific machine fleets.
• Document fault reports, troubleshooting steps, and all maintenance activities.
• Assist cross‑functional teams with repair and maintenance tasks.
• Follow safety regulations, use personal protective equipment, and adhere to accident‑prevention guidelines.

Required profile

• Completed vocational training as an electrician, mechanic or mechatronics technician (German or officially recognised qualification).
• Motivated, communicative and able to work effectively in a team.
• Professional experience with automated production machinery is desirable.
• Strong technical understanding of production systems, drive technology, electronics and pneumatics.
• Willingness to work a fully continuous 3‑shift model, including high‑voltage battery systems.
• Good German and/or English language skills, both written and spoken.
