Mechanical Design Engineer (CAD/CATIA/Fusion 360)

About the role

We are looking for a senior Mechanical Design Engineer to lead the physical evolution of our robots. You will translate high‑level concepts into production‑ready CAD models, ensuring strength, agility and resilience for real‑world deployment.

Key responsibilities

• Convert ambitious concepts into lightweight, high‑performance CAD models using CATIA and Fusion 360.
• Own critical domains such as complex wiring integration and advanced CAM strategies.
• Collaborate with AI and Controls teams to optimise mass distribution and sensor placement.
• Define DFM/DFA standards, mentor junior engineers and drive internal machining standards with 5‑axis CNC.
• Perform complex CAM programming and ensure designs are production‑efficient and high‑precision.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in high‑performance robotics, automotive or aerospace engineering.
• Proven track record of shipping complex hardware products.
• Ability to balance startup agility with the rigor of a global industrial leader.
• Strong understanding of real‑world forces, failures and reliability.
