Mechanical Design Engineer – Precision Mechatronics

About the role

We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to develop high‑stability mechanical components and motion assemblies for our quantum‑sensing measurement systems. You will work on sub‑micron positioning hardware that enables reproducible, automated measurements for semiconductor chip analysis.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop high‑precision mechatronic assemblies for stable quantum‑sensing measurements.
• Select and evaluate components such as motion stages, mounts, and materials for integration into the metrology setup.
• Perform simulations, tolerance analysis, and mechanical testing to validate designs and ensure long‑term stability.
• Collaborate with optical, electronics, and software engineers to integrate mechanical systems into the full measurement workflow.
• Communicate with manufacturing partners and suppliers to verify performance and quality requirements.
• Document designs, test results, and integration guidelines clearly and systematically.

Required profile

• BSc degree or engineering technician qualification with experience in special‑purpose machine building.
• Minimum 3 years of hands‑on experience, preferably in semiconductor equipment or a precision‑industry environment.
• Strong focus on design for manufacturability (DFM).
