Mechanical Engineer – Electronic Warfare (All Genders)

About the role

STARK is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join its Electronic Warfare division in Berlin. You will work closely with industrial designers and EW specialists to rapidly design, package, and integrate cutting‑edge EW payloads into autonomous loitering munition systems.

Key responsibilities

• Package and integrate complex EW hardware, antennas, and RF payloads into autonomous loitering munition platforms.
• Collaborate with in‑house industrial design and EW experts to balance aesthetic, functional, and rugged defence requirements.
• Design fixtures and conduct validation testing in thermal, vibration, and environmental shock chambers.
• Use FEA and CFD tools to address thermal dissipation and high‑g load challenges.
• Partner with RF and software teams to iterate on mechanical constraints and mission requirements.
• Move quickly from CAD modeling through rapid prototyping to manufacturing hand‑off.

Required profile

• Proven ability to solve diverse mechanical packaging and thermal challenges on fast timelines.
• Experience with ruggedised electronics or payloads on weight‑critical, high‑vibration platforms such as UAVs, robotics, or aerospace.
• Hands‑on experience preparing hardware for environmental testing and iterating designs based on test results.
• Strong collaboration skills with RF and software engineering teams.
• Background in aerospace, UAV, robotics structural design, or rugged electronics enclosure design.
