Mechanical Engineer (m/f/d)

About the role

We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer (m/f/d) to design and develop the mechanics of our innovative machine‑vision and embedded‑vision cameras. The role covers the full product lifecycle from concept through to production and maintenance, ensuring cost‑effective, high‑quality solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design mechanical components for machine‑vision cameras using 3D CAD.
• Manage the complete product lifecycle: concept, 3D design, drawings, commissioning and maintenance.
• Develop cost‑effective designs while maintaining high product quality.
• Create manufacturing aids such as assembly and adjustment fixtures.
• Collaborate with product management, project engineering, electronics, software, purchasing, production and validation teams.
• Document all development activities.

Required profile

• Degree in precision engineering, mechanical engineering or a comparable field (career starters welcome).
• Proficiency in German (C1) and English (B2) language skills.
• Ability to work independently, strong team spirit and enthusiasm for design and technology.

Required skills

• 3D CAD software – preferably SolidWorks.
• Surface‑treatment techniques such as anodising, painting and printing.
• Knowledge of materials including metal and plastic.
• Experience with manufacturing processes: turning, milling, casting and injection moulding.
• Thermal simulation and understanding of the interaction between mechanics, optics and electronics.
