Mechanical Engineer – Static & Rotating Equipment

About the role

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer specialized in static and rotating equipment to join a multi‑disciplinary project team. Reporting to the Project Manager, you will oversee the design, installation, commissioning and hand‑over of all machinery equipment, ensuring safety, sustainability, quality and reliability throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the focal point for rotating equipment, static equipment and piping matters with contractors and external parties.
• Define Owner’s requirements related to the Machinery Directive and ensure timely implementation by contractors.
• Review contractor designs for compliance with contract scope, specifications, codes and standards.
• Monitor contractor performance, evaluate change impacts and advise on significance.
• Participate in design reviews and inspections of mechanical packages at vendor sites and on‑site.
• Ensure timely resolution of pending technical issues.

Required profile

• M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering with at least 15 years of overall experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience with cryogenic equipment and at least one lead engineering role on a similar project.
• In‑depth knowledge of cryogenic systems such as LP/HP pumps, boil‑off gas compressors, vaporizers and loading arms.
• Familiarity with international codes & standards and European directives.
• Strong communication skills and ability to produce technical reports.
