Middleware Engineer

About the role

Applied Intuition is seeking motivated software engineers to develop core middleware components for its software‑defined vehicle (SDV) platform. The team builds the foundational layers that enable advanced vehicle functions, working on distributed systems, high‑speed networking and vehicle communication.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement high‑performance platform services in C++ with a focus on multi‑threading and concurrency.
• Develop and extend communication middleware using protocols such as SOME/IP or DDS.
• Work on system‑level software across functional areas including Communication Management, Execution Management, State Management, Health Management, Diagnostics and Logging.
• Apply networking and Ethernet‑stack knowledge to ensure reliable, high‑throughput data exchange.
• Support data‑logging and recording workflows for sensor data used in ADAS development and validation.

Required profile

• Strong C++ programming skills, including experience with multi‑threading and concurrency patterns.
• At least 2 years of software engineering experience; background in embedded, automotive, robotics or distributed systems is a plus.
• Familiarity with communication middleware concepts and protocols such as SOME/IP or DDS.
