Mobile Engineer – Android/Kotlin (f/m/d)

About the role

Thermondo is building intelligent software to decarbonise homes. We are looking for a hands‑on Mobile Engineer to develop and maintain our native Android/iOS applications using Kotlin Multiplatform Mobile, while collaborating closely with backend and platform teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and maintain high‑quality native mobile features for Android (Kotlin) and iOS.
• Implement technical designs, focusing on performance, offline/online capabilities and overall stability.
• Collaborate with backend and platform teams to ensure reliable integration of mobile features.
• Own features from definition through deployment, translating requirements into implementation plans.
• Integrate pre‑defined LLM services and AI‑native features into the mobile codebase.
• Improve mobile development workflows, participate in code reviews and share knowledge within the engineering team.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of hands‑on experience in native mobile development, preferably in a fast‑paced product environment.
• Strong proficiency in Android development with Kotlin and modern Android architecture.
• Willingness to learn and contribute to iOS development using Kotlin Multiplatform Mobile.
• Ability to reason about API interactions and system data flows.
• Self‑driven, pragmatic and able to manage tasks independently while collaborating effectively.
• Python knowledge is a strong plus for internal system contributions.
