NDE Engineer – Ultrasonic Testing Specialist

About the role

As an NDE Engineer you will develop new inspection processes and systems, guiding them from concept through to field implementation. You will work at the interface of development, technical qualification, and practical application, reporting to the Manager NDE & Special Products.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, enhance and qualify mechanized ultrasonic testing (UT) techniques and systems.
• Prepare technical justifications, specifications, and procedures in line with applicable standards.
• Perform data analysis and document inspection results from laboratory and field activities.
• Deliver training for internal and external personnel.
• Support proposal activities, including feasibility assessments and concept development.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary and international teams.

Required profile

• Degree in engineering (materials science, mechanical engineering, physics or similar).
• ISO 9712 Level 3 certification in ultrasonic testing (UT).
• Proven experience with mechanized UT and qualification processes.
• 3+ years of experience in training or knowledge transfer.
• Structured, independent working style with strong team orientation.
• Fluent in English and German.
