Near Patient Nurse – Hybrid Role in Ansbach, Germany

About the role

International SOS is seeking a Near Patient Nurse to support the TRICARE Overseas Program in Germany. The role combines on‑site visits to hospitals with remote coordination, offering a balanced schedule without night shifts and the chance to work in an international, patient‑focused environment.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the clinical link between German hospitals and international medical teams, ensuring continuity of care.
• Monitor inpatient care, maintain clinical quality, and produce accurate medical reports in English.
• Communicate directly with physicians and nursing staff, providing clear updates to international stakeholders.
• Support patients in understanding their diagnosis, treatment, and the German healthcare system, offering bilingual assistance.
• Coordinate safe discharge plans and continuity of care across borders.
• Build and maintain professional relationships with local providers and contribute to quality assessments.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse (Pflegefachkraft / Gesundheits‑ und Krankenpfleger) with at least 3 years of bedside experience in an inpatient setting.
• Active registration to practice in Germany.
• Fluent in German and English (minimum B2 level).
• Strong communication, independent work style, and accountability.
• Comfortable using digital documentation systems.
• Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel within the region.
