Near Patient Nurse (Hybrid) – Vilseck Region

About the role

This position is designed for experienced hospital nurses who seek a stable schedule without night shifts and greater professional autonomy. Working as a Near Patient Nurse, you will bridge German hospitals and international medical teams, supporting the TRICARE Overseas Program while enjoying a hybrid work model.

Key responsibilities

• Act as a clinical liaison between local providers and international stakeholders, ensuring continuity of care.
• Monitor inpatient stays, manage clinical cases, and uphold patient‑safety standards.
• Produce accurate medical reports in English and communicate updates to physicians and nursing teams.
• Facilitate safe discharge planning and coordinate follow‑up care.
• Advise patients on diagnoses, treatments, and navigation of the German healthcare system, providing bilingual support.
• Build and maintain professional relationships with healthcare providers and contribute to quality assessments.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse (Pflegefachkraft / Gesundheits‑ und Krankenpfleger) with at least 3 years of bedside experience in an inpatient setting.
• Active German nursing registration.
• Fluent in German and English (minimum B2 level).
• Strong communication, independent work style, and confidence with digital documentation systems.
• Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel within the region.

Required skills

• Proficiency in digital health documentation systems.
• Bilingual communication (German/English).
