Near Patient Nurse – Spangdahlem (Hybrid)

About the role

International SOS is seeking an experienced hospital nurse to join its Near Patient Nurse team supporting the TRICARE Overseas Program in Germany. The role combines on‑site visits to German hospitals with remote coordination, offering a balanced schedule without night shifts and the chance to work in an international, patient‑focused environment.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the clinical liaison between local German healthcare providers and international medical teams.
• Monitor inpatient care, ensure clinical quality, patient safety, and produce accurate medical reports in English.
• Communicate clinical updates to physicians, nursing teams, and international stakeholders.
• Coordinate safe discharge planning and continuity of care.
• Support patients in understanding diagnoses, treatment plans, and navigating the German healthcare system, providing bilingual assistance.
• Build and maintain professional relationships with providers, contribute to quality assessments and network collaboration.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse (Pflegefachkraft / Gesundheits‑ und Krankenpfleger) with at least 3 years of bedside experience in an inpatient setting.
• Active registration to practice nursing in Germany.
• Fluent in German and English (minimum B2 level).
• Strong communication, independent work style, and confidence with digital documentation systems.
• Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel within the region.
