Network Administrator (ACBN Networks)

About the role

GDIT is recruiting a Network Administrator in Ramstein, Germany, to operate, maintain and monitor ACBN and MPE communications networks. The role covers configuring routers, switches and firewalls, supporting cryptographic devices and providing network infrastructure support, with a weekly schedule of 40 hours and less than 10% travel.

Key responsibilities

• Configure routers, switches, firewalls, VPN concentrators and VoIP/video bridges; maintain network encryption devices
• Manage point-to-point installs, long-haul circuits, circuit encryption equipment and network cabling
• Monitor, maintain and troubleshoot LAN and WAN, including using SolarWinds to report health statistics
• Support deployment of routing and switching designs, and respond to outages, documenting fixes and notifying affected customers
• Submit ASIs according to SPIN-C and local requirements, and coordinate with higher-level organizations

Required profile

• US citizenship required; Secret clearance must currently be held and obtainable
• Minimum of six years of related experience, including at least four years in communications networks
• BA/BS in computer science, information systems, engineering, software engineering, management, natural or social sciences, mathematics or business/finance; equivalent experience can substitute for a degree
• Certification: DoW 8570.01M IAT Level II, and either CCNA or CCNP
