Network Architect / Network Specialist (On-Premise, Global)

About the role

Agile Robots SE, an innovator at the intersection of artificial intelligence and robotics, is seeking an experienced Network Architect or Specialist to oversee its global on-premise infrastructure. The role covers designing, implementing and maintaining robust, scalable networks across regional offices, supporting AI and HPC workloads including NVIDIA InfiniBand fabrics, and keeping the network aligned with ISMS and TISAX requirements. It suits a seasoned network professional who prefers on-premise environments and acts as the L3 escalation point for regional IT teams.

Key responsibilities

• Document and maintain end-to-end network architectures, including core/distribution layers and data-centre leaf-spine topologies.
• Manage BGP/OSPF for WAN and data-centre environments with redundancy and failover.
• Implement FortiGate policy architectures and Aruba-based 802.1X NAC for remote access and segmentation.
• Engineer and optimise NVIDIA InfiniBand fabrics for AI compute clusters and storage pipelines.
• Prepare for TISAX audits with the CISO, manage vendor relationships and enforce change control.
• Use Ansible, Python and NetBox to automate configuration, reduce drift and standardise deployments.

Required profile

• At least seven years of experience in enterprise-grade, multi-site networking.
• Experience with secure remote access, NAC (e.g. Aruba ClearPass) and DMZ segmentation.
• Ability to write clear High-Level and Low-Level designs for engineering and audit purposes.
• Certifications are not strictly required but CCNP/CCIE, Fortinet NSE Level 4+ or Aruba certifications (ACMA/ACMP/ACDX) are preferred.
