On‑Site Project Manager – Robotics Deployment

About the role

Linnk is looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead the first‑time deployment of next‑generation robotics and automation technologies in major fulfilment and logistics sites in Germany. This freelance, on‑site role combines project leadership, technical problem‑solving and hands‑on execution to turn complex pilot implementations into repeatable standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end deployment activities from planning and installation through commissioning and go‑live.
• Manage on‑site execution during pilot and first‑of‑kind deployments.
• Coordinate vendors, engineering teams, operations and site stakeholders to ensure successful delivery.
• Develop deployment playbooks, documentation and best practices for future roll‑outs.
• Support implementation of robotics, conveyance, sortation and warehouse automation technologies.
• Troubleshoot technical and operational challenges during deployment and commissioning.
• Capture lessons learned and standardise processes for continuous improvement.
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule and to the highest quality standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related STEM discipline.
• 3+ years of experience delivering automation, robotics, MHE or warehouse technology deployments.
• Strong project‑management and stakeholder‑coordination experience.
• Hands‑on experience troubleshooting complex technical systems in operational environments.
• Fluent German and willingness to travel extensively for on‑site work.
