Packaging Manager / Expert (m/f/d) – Aerospace

About the role

We are seeking a Packaging Manager / Expert to join our Warehouse Operations team in Hamburg Fuhlsbüttel. You will lead the development of compliant packaging solutions for high‑value aerospace components, ensuring product integrity across global supply chains while driving sustainability and cost efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement packaging solutions for sensitive aerospace parts such as avionics, turbine blades, and sensors.
• Own the PPWR roadmap, translating regulatory changes into actionable development guidelines.
• Guarantee product protection against physical damage, corrosion, and electrostatic discharge throughout the supply chain.
• Manage relationships with external vendors, negotiate material and printing contracts.
• Ensure compliance with ATA Spec 300, IATA DGR, and 49 CFR dangerous‑goods regulations.
• Analyse current packaging workflows and introduce improvements for sustainability, efficiency, and cost reduction.

Required profile

• Degree in Packaging Technology, Engineering, Material Science, Logistics or a related field.
• Experience creating protective packaging for high‑value components, preferably in aerospace or high‑tech sectors.
• Strong knowledge of ATA Spec 300, IATA DGR and PPWR sustainable packaging requirements.
• Proactive, solution‑oriented mindset with high attention to detail.
• Negotiation‑level fluency in German and English.
