Partnerships Specialist

About the role

Proxima Fusion is seeking a Partnerships Specialist to strengthen its relationships with research institutions, industrial partners, and government agencies. You will act as a bridge between cutting‑edge fusion technology, funding opportunities, and strategic collaborations, directly supporting the mission to bring stellarator fusion power to Earth.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, build, and maintain partnerships with public research institutions and private industry.
• Support the drafting, submission, and management of public funding applications.
• Maintain regular communication with grant authorities and ensure compliance with funding administrative processes.
• Manage relationships with governmental bodies that issue grants, overseeing application workflows and documentation.
• Collaborate with internal teams to align partnership activities with Proxima’s technical and commercial goals.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum 2 years of experience in academia, consulting, government, business strategy, or related areas.
• Fluent English communication skills.
• Willingness to travel 1–2 times per month.
• Organized, proactive, and purpose‑driven.
