People & HR Generalist – Berlin

About the role

We are looking for a People & HR Generalist to join our fast‑growing mobility startup in Berlin. You will own the full employee lifecycle, from attracting talent to supporting day‑to‑day HR operations, and act as the main point of contact for both staff and managers.

Key responsibilities

• Independently manage the recruiting process, including job postings, sourcing, interviews and offers.
• Oversee onboarding, off‑boarding and the overall employee lifecycle.
• Maintain personnel files, contracts and all HR documentation.
• Provide guidance to employees and managers on HR‑related questions.
• Assist in developing and refining HR processes and policies.
• Support payroll preparation in collaboration with external payroll providers.
• Contribute to employer branding and employee retention initiatives.

Required profile

• Completed training or degree focused on HR/personnel, or comparable qualification.
• Several years of experience in recruiting and/or HR operations.
• Strong communication skills and a people‑oriented mindset.
• Structured, discreet and reliable working style.
• Fluent German and English.

Required skills

• Experience with an Applicant Tracking System (ATS) or similar HR tools.
