People Operations Specialist – EMEA (German Market)

About the role

The People Operations Specialist supports the EMEA region with a focus on Germany, acting as the central gatekeeper for the employee lifecycle. You will ensure data accuracy, rigorous documentation, and compliance while shielding HR Generalists and Business Partners from routine administrative tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the first‑line point of contact for all People queries via Jira, triaging and escalating complex issues.
• Draft, issue, and track regional employee lifecycle documents (contracts, addenda, reference letters, terminations) with 100% audit readiness.
• Maintain end‑to‑end data integrity in Workday for onboarding, job changes, off‑boarding, and contingent worker administration.
• Enforce operational guardrails, securing required approvals from Finance, Compensation, Legal, and other stakeholders before processing changes.
• Act as the primary operational liaison to Payroll, IT, Legal, and Security, handling routine tickets and ensuring smooth cross‑functional workflows.
• Identify recurring query trends and data gaps, updating knowledge bases, policies, and processes to improve the employee experience.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of experience in HR Operations, People Coordination, or a similar shared‑services role, preferably in a fast‑paced tech or multinational environment.
• Full professional fluency in English and German (written and spoken).
• Strong attention to detail, ability to work independently, and a solutions‑focused mindset.
