Pharmacy Technician – Landstuhl Regional Medical Center

About the role

We are seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join the team at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center in Germany. The role involves dispensing medications, supporting pharmacy operations, and ensuring safety and quality standards are met.

Key responsibilities

• Fill new outpatient prescriptions, process refills, and enter orders into pharmacy databases.
• Assist patients and physicians with prescription inquiries, monitor for drug interactions, and report adverse drug reactions.
• Conduct drug storage inspections, review expired supplies, and generate error and workload reports.
• Manage inventory by placing orders, stocking shelves, maintaining inventory records, and producing out‑of‑stock reports.

Required profile

• Certificate from an ASHP‑accredited pharmacy technician program or equivalent U.S. military medical services training.
• Current certification by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB).
• At least one year of pharmacy technician experience within the past three years.
• Basic Life Support certification (American Heart Association or Red Cross).
• Ability to lift up to 40 lb and meet immunization requirements, including seasonal influenza vaccination.
• Potential travel up to 5 % of the time.
