Piping Supervisor – Oil & Gas Downstream Project

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Piping Supervisor to join our downstream oil and gas project in Hamburg. The role involves overseeing subcontractor activities, ensuring compliance with design, safety and quality standards, and supporting contract and claim management.

Key responsibilities

• Verify supplier material and technical documentation delivery schedules against construction plans and contractual commitments.
• Review and approve subcontractor method statements and ensure their proper implementation on site.
• Enforce HSE procedures and standards for all subcontractor activities and actively participate in site HSE actions.
• Monitor progress schedules, identify delays and drive corrective actions.
• Confirm that subcontractor equipment, manpower and work meet design specifications, safety regulations and quality requirements.
• Conduct inspections, sign certificates per the Site Inspection Plans, and maintain non‑conformity registers.
• Detect design errors, propose corrections or coordinate with field engineers for changes.
• Approve subcontractor progress status sheets and manage vendor specialists.
• Assist the Contract Manager/Engineer with pricing, subcontract amendments and claim analysis.

Required profile

• Technical diploma.
• Proven experience on refinery or oil & gas projects in a similar supervisory role.
• Fluent English communication skills.
• Willingness to work onsite in Hamburg for the contract period.
