Platform Infrastructure Engineer – Remote (EU/UK)

About the role

We are looking for a Platform Infrastructure Engineer to join our small platform team, owning AWS infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and runtime environments. The role involves end‑to‑end ownership of infrastructure domains, close collaboration with product engineers, and participation in an on‑call rotation.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, operate and be on‑call for one or more infrastructure domains, including Terraform modules, GitHub Actions pipelines, and AWS account architecture.
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines for 20+ Java and Kotlin microservices, implementing reusable workflows, matrix strategies and cache behavior.
• Develop Lambda functions in Go and Python for metrics collection, secret rotation, IAM authentication and event dispatching.
• Set up Datadog monitors, dashboards and SLOs to surface problems before product engineers notice them.
• Manage IAM, KMS and access baselines to satisfy PCI DSS and SOC 2 compliance without generating support tickets.

Required profile

• 5+ years of platform or infrastructure engineering experience, with production‑grade AWS at scale.
• Strong knowledge of VPC design, IAM, ECS/EKS, Lambda and RDS.
• Proficiency in Terraform, including state migrations, drift handling and remote state management.
• Experience with Spacelift or a comparable IaC orchestration tool.
• Hands‑on experience with Kubernetes production workloads and migration from ECS to EKS.
