Policy Specialist, Legal Content Policy and Standards (DACH)

About the role

Google’s Trust & Safety team is looking for a Policy Specialist to lead regional content moderation efforts in the DACH market. You will shape policies that balance local legal requirements, user expression, and public interest while protecting the integrity of Google products.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and refine content policies in response to emerging legislation and regulatory guidance.
• Manage removal requests from government authorities and users, ensuring timely and accurate action.
• Collaborate with public policy, legal, product, and enforcement teams to address complex moderation challenges.
• Provide insights on defamation, data protection, privacy, and other legal domains affecting content.
• Oversee content operations to maintain high quality and speed of response.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 2 years of experience in policy, legal, Trust & Safety, or a related technology environment.
• Fluent communication skills in both English and German.
• Strong problem‑solving, critical‑thinking, and project‑management abilities.
